I have to confess, I love cakes. I’m especially taken in by those that are beautifully decorated, some of which are too pretty to eat. This is a post on these yummy looking cakes, not a review of their taste, though one may be excused for thinking they taste as good as they look.
At basement one of Raffles City, there is a dessert shop called ‘Dessert Cup’ whose display is a beautiful sight.
These cupcakes on sticks look like whimsical lollipops.
Look at these cupcakes with their colouful icings!
This birthday cake for a 2-year-old is simply too cute to be eaten!
And then there are the birthday cakes for the young princess.
The Patissier has a small retail stand at Takashimaya basement two food market. This cutesy cake is called Çhocolate Dream’.
I’ve to say this looks like modern art.
This cake reminds me of a Japanese chocolate zen garden.
Flor Patisserie has all these pretty cakes layered with lots of fresh fruits. In fact I think it’s typical of Japanese cakes.
Yamazaki, located at basement one of Tampines One mall, is another Japanese cake shop. This is a Black Forest Cake, Japanese style.
And there is also the white forest cake.
This mix fruit cake looks tempting with it’s beautiful layer of strawberries, kiwis and peaches. Though I’m not sure if fresh peaches are used, they look like they came out from a can.
Even a chocolate fudge cake has fruits on it.
This crunchy cheese crumbs cake is from Rive Gauche, another Japanese cake shop that’s next to Yamazaki.
